"It's fine. I just said that I wasn't gonna play anymore." He looks at her. "Im gonna get my ears and then I'm never going back. So this is the last time we see each other."

"Why! Why would you quit? Oh wait, maybe you feel like you can't do it! Maybe you can't! Maybe what I saw was beginner's luck! Maybe you can't do stuff. Fine. I won't ever see you again. Bye." She usually never got like this and she didn't know why she was so angry. Maybe because he was getting rid of his talent for no reason at all.

"Why are you so angry? And it probably was beginner's luck. I had no idea what I was doing."

She just kept walking. She'd make him pay. She'd show him a part of her she knew he would like.

Hibiki sighs and follows her. He forgot where the society was and needed his ears back.

She walked into the building and grabbed his ears for him and handed them to him.

"Thanks." He grabs them. "So. This is goodbye."

"I guess it is..." She said and turned away, walking toward her spot once more. She didn't want him to see how much it bothered her.

Hibiki shrugs. "Guess it was to good to be true." He walks away from the society, donning the ears again.

She had the best idea ever, though she would three others to help her.

~Time Skip~
Hibiki wakes up. Time to go to the society! Oh wait....He stands up and takes the ears off. He styles his hair to cover his eyes again. He sighs.

Etsuko decided to take a break from playing and called her friend. They chatted and she agreed to Etsuko's plan.

He walks into town, going to the ice cream shop.

Etsuko met up with her friend, who just happened to be Arata. They began chatting and giggling. It wasn't often that they were able to hang out.

Hibiki looks out the window. Well, as much as he could through his hair. He was embarrassed by his eyes. One was purple and the other was yellow, both natural.
He wonders if he should try fishing again. He shakes his head. Nahhh.

She was talkinhg about the rules and styles of karuta to her. She nodded, Arata had played before in her old school.

Hibiki stands up and walks out. He begins to go exploring. While he walks he sees Etsuko and stops. What was she doing here? He thought she would be at the society today.

They giggled happily while sharing a drink. Neither of them had enough for a second drink so they just bought one bittle and two straw to share with. Etsuko didn't even notice Hibiki.

Hibiki sighs in relief. She didn't notice him. He continues his walk, going past her.

Arata noticed the cat boy and murmmered to Etsuko. Her eyes switched to his figure and she smiled lightly. She said his name, she doubt he heard it.

Hibiki's ears twitch. Fuck, she noticed. Pretend like you didn't. He continues his walk.

She grabbed his hand and looked at him seriously. "Tell me why you quit..." She couldn't stop thinking about it.

Hibiki looks at her then looks away. He needed a believable lie. "I left because it was too complicated." He decides to play in to the lazy aspect of his personality.

She knew he was lying. If it was because of it he wasn't selling it well enough. "You're lying."
