Confessions of a track star (Blank; Closed)

Arata decided she would go to the track star gym open for everyone. There waiting in the gym was her friends Kanako and Miyuki. She went to the lockers and they followed. "So today. I had the shock of my life today." They made oooohhhh and aaaawwwwww sounds. They're voices were hyper as they said, "TELL US!!" She took a deep breath. "A boy confessed to me before practice...." They began squeezing Arata and squeeling loudly.

Hibiki meditates, leaning his back against the tree. He could hear everything in nature, the soft blow of he wind running through the grass and shaking the leaves. He exhales, enjoying his peace.

Once she was changed she head out onto the track. There one of the coaches were there. "Alright ladies, are we practicing for our relay today?" He gave them a look of serious power. All three of them nodded their heads.

Hibiki opens his eyes when the coach begins to speak. So much for peace. He sees Arata. He stares at her for a few seconds before his face turns red. He looks away, embarrassed.

The three girls got set up for the race. Arata being the last to run. She was the fastest of the three. "Ready, set, GO!" Kanako sped off her, he push was getting better but it still needed work, that was the whole reason they put her first. She was of course the slowest of the three. Once she made to Miyuki she slapped her hand hard and Miyuki dashed off next.

Hibiki turns and watches the race. Seemed like fun. Maybe he would try it. He was fast enough for it. He exhales. He lacked motivation though.

Once the final slap was made, that was when Arata shined. She didn't even hesitate, her legs were so fast that the other two stared in amazement. They had practiced with her all they're life but they couldn't believe she was so fast.

Hibiki watches her in amazement. "Wow...." He leans back against the tree.

When she finishes her teammates run up and hug her. Mumbled screams about fast time yet, and winning is in their hands.

Hibiki sighs. Was he insane? There was no way she would go out with him! She didn't even notice him. Not like anyone did. But with her it hurt.

She smiled and fist pumped toward the sky. They were going to win nationals. Her coach grabbed her shoulder and took her off to the side. He said said something to her that made her slump her head.

Hibiki frowns at her head slump. What happened? He stands up and sneaks over to her, hiding until the appropriate time. He strains his ears, fake and real, to hear the conversation.

"...only going to drag you down....no way...better." Only bits and pieces could be heard. Arata wasn't happy with it, it made her sad hearing what he was saying.

Hibiki frowns. Shit, he had been skipping ninja practice lately. He waits for the coach to leave.

The coach left her and she just stood there thinking about what to do.

Hibiki walks out. "Hey Ar-Shinbou-san." He blushes. "Are you okay?"

Arata looked at him. She began wiping her eyes. She didn't want him seeing her crying. It just wouldn't be right. "I-I'm f-fine."

Hibiki notices her tears. He looks at his feet. He reaches up and takes his cat ears off, holding them out to her.

She looked at the cat ears and took them, but she handed them back to him. "I-I couldn't."

"Wear them for the rest of the day. They'll make you feel better..." He looks away, blushing.

She took the cat ears and put them on. She smiled wide, she didn't want to make him worry, it would be horrid if he did worry. Kanako and Miyuki ran up to Arata and stole her from Hibiki whispering words to her.

Hibiki blinks. What was going on? He stands there dumbly.

After a few minutes her friends seperate from her. Arata walked up to Hibiki. "W-would you mind walking me home?" Arata asked.

He smiles. "Not at all. Where do you live?"

"I live not far from here." She said and smiled slightly. Kanako and Miyuki began giggling and Arata began blushing bright red.
