Hibiki walks up to Etsuko, smiling. He waves at her. "Sorry I took so long!" She still looked as beautiful (and scary) as ever. Her little sister was happy though.

"Now come and watch us play." She said and began walking back into the building. She had to start her next match. She was to defeat another Class A Players in perpetration for the Queen tournament. Her sister smiled at him and grabbed Etsuko's hand.

Hibiki says nothing and follows her. This was an odd style of teaching...He shrugs it off.

She stood in front of the door and heard a card being read. She stood still and waited. She didn't want to interrupt.

Hibiki waits beside her. He pulls out a piece of paper and starts folding it.

After the card was read there were sounds of dead bodies hitting the floor and she opened the door quickly and rushing over to a quite scary. She began murmuring to him and pointing at Hibiki.

Hibiki looks up. What happened? He sees Etsuko pointing at him.

The man nodded and began murmuring back. They were discussing something with him. He looked over at Hibiki and waved him over. "Come over here boy." He said loud enough for everyone to hear him.

Hibiki shuddered. What the heck? He walks towards the man. "Can I help you?"

"So you want to play Karuta? You wanna learn this difficult sport that only the talented can play?" He asked and eyed him. Etsuko began walking away and sat down and began talking to a boy while the master of the society spoke with him.

Hibiki starts to shiver. He felt like this dude was asking him to join the Yakuza. He was asked that once. "Y-y-yes."

His look of aggression turned into one of happiness and he hugged Hibiki. "I'M SO HAPPY! EVERYONE WE HAVE A NEW MEMBER HERE~~!" He was a loud and robust old man.

Hibiki feels his back pop. "I can't feel my back..." He raises his hand. "I don't know how to play sir..."

He let go and smiled. "NO WORRIES MY BOY! WE WILL HAVE SOMEONE TEACH YOU! Perhaps another Level E Player!" He looked around and called out a name. A small girl walked over. She bowed and opened her mouth to speak, "I can teach him Sensei." He nodded and handed off Hibiki to the 6 year old.

Hibiki looks at the six year old. This...was not what he planned. He shrugs. Just go with it. "What do you think I'm doing?" He covers his mouth, realizing he spoke out loud. "I mean...hi!"

She sat down on the straw mat and pulled out some cards. "Sit here." She pointed across from herself and showed that there would a lot of distance from each other. She put the cards down and played them all over the floor and began mixing them up. "Help me with this."

Hibiki kneel next to the girl and helps her scramble and lay down the cards.

She split her cards into two groups and each group had three rows of card. "Now this is my territory." She pointed to her area, she wanted to describe it simple enough. "Now three centimeters away from the top of my cards will be your cards." She made a motion to the left over cards to be in front of her own. "Once you have set your cards up you have 15 minutes to memorize all of your card postions. You also have to memorize mine. I do the same as you. The last two minutes you have time to practice your swing without touching any cards." She showed him a quick swing and then waited for him to absorb the information.

Hibiki stares at her for a few moments. He opens and closes his mouth a few times.

"Do you understand? If not you can tell me. Just say what you don't understand." She looked at him with her cute little chubby face and giggled.

He looks down. "I don't understand."

She came close to him and whispered. "Tell me the real reason you joined? You certainly do not seem like the type to play Karuta. You don't even understand it." She said and eyed him. She saw that he came in with Etsuko. She heard from her sister that in her private school that she was the talk of the class. As she was beautiful and absolutely terrifying. People called her absent-mindlessly vain.

He leans towards her and whispers. "It seemed like fun. And I don't understand normal things." He puts air quotes around normal. The second part was true. There was no way he was gonna tell her the real reason.

She decided to help the poor boy. She had the impression that he had a crush on Etsuko so he was going to help him get her attention. "Let me break it down for you. There are two territories. One is your territory of 25 cards. In my territory I too have 25 cards. 50 of the cards are not on the playing field for one reason only, to make you screw up and make faults. Now faults can happen many ways. There are two major faults. Single carded faults and double carded faults. The single card faults are split into two types. Dead card fault, and wrong card fault. Dead card fault is when you touch the wrong card even though it is dead. Wrong card fault is when you touch the wrong card and the right card is on the opposite territory. If either of those two happens than your opponent will take a card from their territory and send it to you. Which you can then put anywhere in your territory. If you still do not understand we will watch a few games."
