at the comment about the clock, ashes face flushed red a bit.
"Well then, i suppose that an exploration is in order, is it not?"

Victoria had her smile widen as she squeezed Ashter's hand and led him out to the nearest garden. There was a private area surrounded by rose bushes and willow trees. The moon shone down and reflected off her pale skin and her light colored hair. She sat on a nearby stone bench and motioned for Ashter to sit with her.

"This is my favorite spot in the whole palace, maybe even the whole kingdom. It smells so rich and when all of the blooms are out in the afternoon sun, it's like a rainbow had rained down on my flowers..." Victoria nearly became lost in her words.

Standing in the open air, ash breathed deep, the branches on his mask seeming to twist and sway in the fresh air and moonlight.
he slowly paced and sat next to Tori on the bench.
"twining rose, blossom bright, twining roses, in the night." he sang quietly, as if in memory.

"That's a very beautiful song... But you seem quite tense... I have a feeling you aren't telling me something." Victoria gently placed her hand on top of Ash's. She touched the edge of her mask, almost taking it off, but decided against it. Maybe later she would take it off, but now, her companion seemed a little on edge.

"oh... the songs a memory of someone, nothing more. and I'm fine, its just the time of night affects me strongly. It's likely by midnight i shall be forced to depart."
ash forced himself to calm down more, relaxing his emotions, and casting his curse in a half truth.
"this is a beautiful garden, I must say.

Victoria nodded. "I am fairly proud of this place. It's heard more of my words than my parent's ever have, or will hear." She shortly laughs. This wasn't something she should be saying to one of her party goers. She took off her mask, laying it on her lap, gently moving it so that the moon light shines on it at different angles. She looks over at Ashter.

"I should not be saying such things to ye, I am sorry." Her face was fully face towards him, and as close as when they were dancing.

"tis fine princes, I be not a stranger to a family disconnect."
ash also leaned in a bit, closing the gap more.

"Have you ever fallen in love?" Victoria slowly drew her face closer. Her heart started crescendoing in her her chest, she thought that Ash would be sure to hear it.

"I'm not sure, but i might be stumbling there."
Ash breaths out and tilts his head slightly, MOVING IN FOR THE KISS!

Victoria finishes closing the gap, and she kissed him. In her heart, she felt a million colors explode behind her eyes. She felt so much more alive than ever before. It was true love, and she knew it.

Passionately and gently, Ash kept the kiss up, keeping the contact going.

Victoria'a hand slowly reached up to Ash's mask, tugging at it for better kissing.

the mask fell off, but for some reason, She couldn't make out any of ashes features beyond his blue eyes. the moment she blinked she would forgot everything but the eyes.
Ash deepened the kiss bit by bit.

Victoria gripped the mask as if it were going to fly away, and barely too her lips away from his. She was abou to ask him something important when the clock started to strike, signaling midnight.

With a start, Ash broke off the kiss and looked towards the clock tower on the castle, the color draining from his face.
"no way, Sorry I have to go!"
Ash stood up and began to run towards the castle entrance, one of his armbands sliding off as he ran, landing on the grass.
As he ran towards the castle he seemed to shudder slightly, almost tripping before he ran even faster, darting through a door towards the main hall.

Victoria looked a bit shocked and a little heart broken. She ran after him, calling his name over and over, but he didn't stop or slow down. She picked up the armband that had fallen off of him. He was gone before she could look any further.

"I... I love you..." She gripped both the mask and armband and rushed inside, avoiding her parents and went up to her room. She collapsed on her bed and fell into a deep sleep, unable to understand why someone so wonderful and in love as she was, would just get up and leave.

after reaching the stables, he lept on his horse and took off, his clothes seeming to rip apart in the wind as he rode towards the forest, half a mile away. as he rode, he began to shudder and spasm, muscles clenching as he got close, the strain caused him to finally black out. the horse valiantly carrying him to the forests clearing, where Danial awaited anxiousness.
"shit, ASH!" he carefully pulled Ashter to the forest floor, revealing him to be unconscious, with his eyes rolled back to show the whites, and shuddering, foam leaking from the side of his mouth as his body convulsed and flexed.
"come on ash, don't leave me hanging here!"
Danial began trying to massage ashes clenched muscles, and poured a bit of a silver liquid down his throat.
"live man. live!"
finally ash seemed to relax a bit, his body still locked up but his painful convulsing halted. his breathing, no longer forced, also slowly relaxed as well.

Victoria didn't dream that night. She slept in darkness, tossing and turning. She sat up in a start around 2 in the morning. She was still in her ball gown, so she tore it off, exchanging it for a night gown and crawled back into bed. But she couldn't sleep. She began singing the lullaby her mother had taught her.

time skip, to 5 in the morn.
Ash joltyed up, and immediately regretted his decision, the muscles across his upper body and back screaming in pain.
"aRRGEHHH"
"relax, its just stiffness. it'll pass."
Danial was sitting on a nearby log, deep bags beneath his eyes. next to him, the stallion was nuzzling the grass, seating the longer strands.
"you almost didn't make it. your lucky that felius is a fae horse."
"thank you fellius."
the horse neigned softly and shook its head.
"Ash, WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU? you know how fucking worried i as? you know that if you stay outside, with how bad the effects are no-"
"I know."
Ash'd voice was sharp and darkened.
" i know whats possible. and i realize it was risky." Ash staggers up to his feet, body tensed from the pain.
"i had to try. there...."
"what?"
"there was this girl..."
"....."
"......"
"......kay."
"...kay?"
"...kay."

Victoria was still awake, and decided to go out when she heard soft, tentative knocking at her door. Her parents then entered, smiling at her.

"Oh sweetheart! Did we wake you?" Her mother asked in a slight sing-song voice.

"[color=#ff92bb]Of course not. Is there something you want to say?[/color]" Her voice sounded a little iciest than she meant it to be.

"We'll we saw you dancing with a young man, quite a handsome one, but only for a moment before we lost you." She said. Victoria felt her cheeks blush a little. She crossed her arms and nodded. She excused herself to get dressed, saying sh'd be down or breakfast soon. It was peculiar that they were up so early. But then again, she didn't know her parents routine.

She sat on the bed, and sighed one of those dreamy sighs. She was in love, no doubt about it. But how could she tell her parents who she had fallen in love with if she didn't even know who he was?

Ash was propped against a log, his body was still stiff enough he couldn't move. he as reciting the events of last night.
"-but the armband fell off?"
"Aye. and she might have the mask as well."
"the princess of the realm, kissed you, and then you had to leave due to your curse of life threatening seizure, and she currently has both a magic armband and a mask, both of which are imbued with a modified princesses dream spell, which has been specialized to you."
Danial was perched on the same log, smoking a long black and green engraved pipe, blowing small rings of dark green smoke that smelled of mint across the clearing.
"i'm never telling you to go have fun at a ball again. not unless i go too."
"hehe. Kay mate."
Ash was smiling, despite the pain. a smaller piece of wood in his hands, which he was slowly chipping away at with a fine bladed knife.

Victoria suddenly grinned and rushed to her desk. She tucked her stray hair behind her ear and took a quill from its inkwell. She started scribbling down a letter to her favorite and most trusted cousin. If anyone could find him, she could.

In the meantime, she would make more frequent trips outside the castle walls through her secret door.

Moving slowly, Ash stood up, and began to strech out his muscles.
"sorry i can't heal this part."
"tis fine. i'll make do."
Groaning slightly, ash picked up his woodsman axe and leather vest from nearby, and headed through the forest, looking around.
"oh what would a tree, ever need? for leaves shall fall while it stands tall, till the reaper named time comes along."
"you always say that when you go gathering, and you've never explained it!"
"and i still wont."
picking a large tree, half dead form rot, Ashe began to cut it down with long solid strikes.

As soon as the letter was finished, Victoria gave the letter to one of her maids to send off to her cousin. She put on a simple (if you could call any kind of royalty dress simple) dark blue gown, her commoner cloak and sneaked down to the gardens and to the door. She tugged on the door and flew out of it, making sure that it was shut well.

"Now time to scour the entire countryside! Fun..." She groaned and moved the hood back a little so one could see her whole face and the front bit of hair. She had been walking for a little while when she thought she saw a tall man walking nearby. "Excuse me! Sir excuse me! Can I ask you something?" she picked up her skirt and hurried in his direction.

Daniel was walking around in the morning light and was surprised when he heard a girls voice behind him. With his hooded Longfellow, his ears and wings were well hidden from sight
