Confessions of a track star (Blank; Closed)

After the stretches were done she walked up to the boy who was annoucing the stretches. "Horai-Senpaiiii~~~~~" She pulled Hibiki by the wrist along. "This is Hibiki-San. He'll be joining the track team! He has true potential!" She beamed from ear to ear. It was pretty obvious that she and Horai must have known each other pretty well with how formal she was being with the senior.

Hibiki looks at Horai, a bit intimitaded. He also didn't like how she said he was joining, like he already proved himself. "Maybe this was a bad idea..."

Horai looked at Hibiki. "I'll decide if he's good enough. I am the Capitan of course. And he looks pretty skinny. Eh. Doesn't matter. Get him working on his push." He said and walked away dismissing Arata with a wave of a hand.

"Uhm...What?" He looks at Arata.

Arata pulled him over to the starting line. "Okay. When you do a push. You grab the ground and set up in a tuck position. It is very simple." She got into the position to show him.

"O-kay." He gets into an unusual position. "Ready." He takes of running.

Arata scratched her head. Well that was rather...entertaining. She opened her mouth and closed it again. She looked like a fish. How did she fix this.

Hibiki comes to a stop. "So?" He knew it wasn't what she expected. She would probably try to fix things. He sighs.

"That was pretty good. Just need to fix somethings, maybe little more body control but you should be perfect." Horai had been watching and smiled wide. Looked like they found their secret weapon.

"Con-trol?" He tilts his head, the word feeling alien on his tounge.

"Control is...like a way to use that energy to run into your arms and legs." She wasn't sure how to describe it fully.

"Oksy, I guess." Hibiki shrugs.

"You know what. Just keep running how you run. Just don't trip." It was better not to mess with a good thing.

"I never trip." He smirks.

"Good." She smiled and looked over at Horai. He was so cool!

"So am I on the team?" Hibiki tilts his head. His hair still covers his eyes. Good.

Arata nodded. He did awesome! At least that's what she thought. "You are on the team in my eyes. Now...we have to convince Horai..." She looked at Horai and smiled, he waved and she waved back.

Hibiki, through his awesome sense of observation, sees a special...connection. Does Arata have a crush on him? He seems deflated now.
(I forgot to mention how a)dense he was and b) bad he is at reading body language)

Horai began walking over and looked at Hibiki. "So Hibiki-Kohai. Have you decided if you want to join? Because what you did there was pretty damn good. Pretty fast and good running form. We could easily make it to nationals with you running for us along side Arata. Maybe even run the relay." He was implanting all he could into Hibiki. He knew if he mentioned Arata it would have to work. As Arata was a close friend of her's from birth and she told him everything.

"I'll join...." He says after a moment of silence. It took him awhile to process the information given to him.

Horai clapped his hands. "That's great! Your first track meet will be tomorrow." Arata smiled. This was so great! Horai loved using his information to his advantage.

"Okay." He walks towards the changing rooms.

After that everyone disperses, going into two changing rooms. The boys and the girls go to different places. Horai walked up to Hibiki as he changed. "Hey, don't push yourself too hard." He walked back to where his stuff was and finished changing.

Hibiki finishes changing without a response.

Horai walks out and its easy to tell there was a girl talking to him. "Arata-Kun. Calm down." She said something about not being a man and they both laughed.
