Charlotte stopped him momentarily. "I insists that you join me for breakfast or brunch today. It's the least I can do for my newly found neighbor." she stepped back a little and nodded to him.

"Well you see...." He needed an excuse. "I can't. I'm going to be job hunting soon." That was a lie. He owned the game shop near the beach.

"Oh..." She sounded a bit crestfallen. "Well, you are still welcome to come over any time. It's the least I can do for you."

Haruto feels bad for some reason. Like she really wanted him to go. "Well...I guess I could go...." He sighs.

Her face brightens a little. She wasn't quite sure why but she was pretty excited that he'd be coming over. "Great~ You just come one over when you're done and I'll have something." She waved slightly and walked back inside.

She went o her room and changed into a pair of dark jean shorts and an off the shoulder gray top. She then went to the kitchen and glanced in her pantry for some food.

Haruto sighs. Good thing that it was his break day. Otherwise he would be at shop right now. He continues his walk. Wait a minute....
"DID SHE ASK ME OUT ON A DATE?!?!?!?" All of the info from dating sims poured into his head. "Oh no...."

"Hmm... What would a young man like to eat? Maybe toast? Ugh, I don't even enjoy toast that much. Maybe fruit?" She rubbed her face. She wasn't entirely sure what other people like to eat. She shrugged and grabbed a bunch of fruit and started chopping them up and putting them on sticks for fruit kabobs. This is as good as it's gonna get.

Haruto finishes his walk, meaning he went to the edge of the beach. He sighs and walks back towards his neighbor's house. He thought that he wouldn't have neighbors, which was why he chose that house. He reaches it and knocks on the door lightly.

Charlotte hers the knock and quickly walks to the door. Se opened it and smiled slightly when he saw Haruto. She combed her fingers through her hair quickly. "Hello and um welcome to my home!" she gestured for him to enter.

Haruto nods in thanks and walks in, looking around. It was more...filled than his house. And much bigger.

She guides him through the entry way to her kitchen. "I'm really happy you decided to come over~" She sat down in a stool and looked at Haruto. She barely pushed the plate of fruit kabobs towards him. "I hope fruit kabobs are okay with you. I wasn't sure what you'd like eat."

"These are fine....." He looks away from her. This was really awkward. He grabs on of the kebobs, biting into the fruit. He leaves tiny bite marks.

"I hope you don't feel too awkward. I realize my offer may have seemed quite a bit odd. Heh, I just, well..." she paused. What did she mean? Well, she certainly wasn't a people person, but she just felt drawn to this boy. If she said that, though, he'd think she was crazy and probably never wish to speak to her again. Charlotte sighed, barely audible.

"It's not awkward...." Since when was he so good at lying. He still doesn't look at her. Why was his heart beating so fast?

Charlotte continued to look at Haruto every once in a while. He was pretty cute to her.

Haruot glances at her. Why was she giving him such strange looks? He takes another bite of the kebob.

Charlotte cleared her throat. "So, tell me about yourself. What do you like to do an such."

Haruto almost chokes. Maybe she was asking in a friendly like manner. Yeah, that was it. He gulps. "Um...I like dogs. And playing games. And going to the beach. What about you?"

"Well I love to surf, go on walks, watch movies. Anything that is relaxing is fun~" She smirked a little bit.

"I see." He takes another bite. What he would give to have some tea.

Charlotte stretched her arms out in front of her. She didn't like not surfing at this time of day, but Haruto seemed to make it a bit bearable.

"Would you like something to drink?" She politely asked.

"Any tea?" Haruto needed to help some noobs today, but he didn't want to be rude.

Charlotte got up and grabbed a dark wooden box with a glass lid. "I have a bunch of different kinds. Do you have a particular one in mind?" She began leafing through the different teas.

"Green please." He looked at his watch. 8:17. He would have to go soon.

She nodded, grabbed a mug, and waited for some water to boil in a kettle.

"Do you have some where to be soon?" She inquired. She had noticed that he checked his watch.
