Love, Tattoos, and Wings [OPEN]

Trinity walked into the local tattoo parlor. She was wearing a racer-back tank top, showing off most of her wings, and jean shorts with moccasin boots and her gray beanie.This is the place where she had gotten her first, and quite impressive tattoo. Her wings spread down in feathery waves down her upper and middle back. Her tattooed wings, of course. She tucked her hair behind her ear, letting her bangs bounce against her eye.

A bell chimed, signaling her entrance.

James was driving into the ton, eyes blurry. he'd been driving 14 hours, and even with a ring of thorns that injected him with adreneline, he was almost passed out. pulling over in an alley, he locked the doors, laid back, and went to sleep.

Trin sat behid the counter. She didn't have a legal job here, but she did work as a secretary from time to time. Today seemed... calm. Probably would be no business today. If there were, it'd be touch up work. She took out a drawing pad from a drawer and a pencil and started sketching a new design. Her works were strung up around the walls. But she refused to draw her wings, or let them be photographed. They were special to her.

"Oh joy, another day full of doodling and not getting paid. I wonder when Kris is going to hire me for real." She blinked and continued drawing, snorting at the thought of Kris actually hiring her.

James awoke with a start.
"where.... hmm..."
he got out of the car, wearing a beanie, a short sleeve t-shirt, and jeans. he headed for the main street. forgetting that his tattoo was openly visable for a while.

Trin groaned and leaned back. This was so boring!

"Yo, Kris, ya here still?"

No response. She shrugged and went out the door, putting up a sign on the counter that said she was on lunch break. Her lunch breaks usually lasted from 30 minutes to two hours. And today definitely felt like a two hour day. She breathed in deep, letting the summer sun soak into her tanned skin. Her moccasins made no sound against the pavement.

"Oh summer, how I love you~"

the pavement annoyed James bare feet. it cut off the sound of the earth. his car was modified to fix that, but still. the silence in his mind was definined. he wandered.
"hmm where is a place i can get some good food..."

Trin was walking along the sidewalk, eyes closed. There was no reason that she would have to keep her eyes open. She could hear the clicking of the most soft shoes. This town, although a good size and quite crowded, had a population that kept to themselves and rarely walked.

Then, she ran into the only other person on that sidewalk. A young man, with reddish brownish hair, barefoot, and a cool flowering tattoo on his arms and hands.

"Oh, gosh I'm sorry man. Didn't mean to ram ya like that."

She looked him in the eyes. They were a gorgeous violet color. And It wasn't everyday she met a guy her height.

James smiled.
"its no problem, i was just wandering a bit. looking for a place to eat."
James paused...
"you wouldn't happen to know a good place for some grub... would you?"

Trinity paused before nodding.

"Yeah, I know a place. I was just out my lunch break. I could take ya there if ya want, Bare Foot. You might want to get some shoes though. The owner doesn't take well to the whole 'No Shoes' thing. Trust me, I've tried before." She stuck her thumbs in her back pockets and gestured with her head for him to follow.

"Where ya from? And what's your name? I don't exactly want to call ya Bare Foot all the time."

"oh, I'm james."
he glanced down at his feet.
"i'll figure something out for my feet."
he stood next to her in a small patch of grass next to the sidewalk.
"and I would be happy to have lunch with you, on my dime since you've been courteous to me."

Trinity was pleasantly surprised. She lead him down the sidewalk to a corner restaurant. The smell of hot, fresh fries wafted from the entrance. She took a deep, long breath in, then exhaled.

"Nothing like some fresh fries and a burger to fill ya up. You figure out the whole shoe thing and I'll get us some food." She waltzed inside and ordered food for the both of them.

by the time she got back, James had some pleasantly comfortable green flip flop with smooth wooden sole on. they fit snug and close.
james sat at an outside table and waited, pulling out a 20 to cover the meal.

Trin walked out with two bags, and dropped on in front of James.

"Eat up." She took a box of fries out and started munching on them. Her gray-green eyes scanned his face as she ate. He wasn't that bad looking in all honesty. And the tattoo that she could see looked very intricate and beautiful.

"Trinity."

he looked up with an arched eyebrow.
"trinity?"
he had begun opening the food gag she handed him.
"i take it that's your name?"

"Oh, yeah, sorry about that. I thought I was making a complete sentence there." She took a sip of her drink, then pushed a cup over to James.

"hmm, thank you." taking a sip of his drink, he slid the twenty towards trinity.
"for being a cool person."

Trin took the twenty and slid it in her pocket. She pushed her bangs out of her eye to better see him.

"You're pretty cool yourself. Can I ask where you got your tattoo?" She pointed at the rose and vines on his arm.

he glanced down thoughfully.
"i did it myself, took a few months too."
calmly eats some fries and takes a drink.

"It's absolutely gorgeous... But how far up your arm does it go? And, if you don't mind, I'd like to take you back to my work and make sample sketches of different portions of it."

She unwrapped her burger and took a bite.

"umm... its not just up my arm, it circles down my back and to the sole of my right foot."
james took a bit of his burger.

She put her burger down, and pushed her bangs out of her eye again. Her eyes were wide, showing off the unusually calming gray-green eyes.

"Are you a fan of large, intricate tattoos?"

"Yes, I am in fact."
Looks curiously at trinity.
"Are you?"

She grinned and pulled her hair over her shoulders, turning in her chair so that part of her back was visible.

From what was visible, 3/4ths of the left wing was visible. There were many individual feathers with the little separations on it. There were slight white highlights around the tops of all the feathers.

"Angel wings. Designed them myself."

"Very cool. I like the detail work.l
He leaned in a bit for a better look.

Trin twisted her head around to see his expression better.

"So how did you do it all?"
