Physical appearance:
She has long black hair that she leaves down and loose. Her bangs are cut in a straight line in a way that her they don’t cover her face but still hang above her eyes so sometimes it hides her eyes. Her eyes are in fact a dark brown that looks almost black. She is 160 cm (about 5 ft and 3 in) and weights 54 kg (about 119 pounds). She doesn’t have her ears or anything else pierced and wears a bit of makeup to highlight some of her features like eyeliner, mascara and lipstick. It is usually very toned down if not natural looking on a day to day basis but during a special event she may wear a dark lipstick or eyeshadow. She usually just wears her uniform but if she’s hanging around her apartment she’ll wear a t-shirt and shorts(on warmer days) or a sweatshirt and sweatpants(colder days). Sometimes when she goes out she has a more mature look like jeans and a nice striped button up blouse or a long-sleeved black V-neck shirt. When she was younger it was almost impossible for her to hide her furry golden ears and tail but now she can as well as turn into a human sized fox with golden fur. Because she is only one half kitsune she ages like all humans but her life span is a little longer and she gets a new tail every 10 years instead of every 100 like most kitsunes. She also can’t take on other human forms like full kitsunes but will eventual get the ability to shape shift into other creatures when she gets her fourth tail.

Personality: Aki has many emotional scars from when she traveled with her mother but her time at the shrine has helped most of them being to heal. She is still a distant and distrusting of others but she hides this behind a façade of a sly social seductress when she is truly very calm quiet and reserved. However Aki is a natural a bit mischievous loving tricks, puzzles, and a good game. Aki is very intelligent and clever and isn’t against fighting a little dirty, doing whatever it takes to achieve her goal. While this usually doesn’t involve betraying someone’s trust it does sometimes involve putting herself in harm’s way by pretending to be on the enemies side so she can infiltrate them and destroy as many as possible or by going along with an enemy’s farce or plan until she can find the optimal time to strike. She doesn’t like it when people fuss over her though she is thankful that they care. You can tell how much she trusts a person by how quiet she is around them.  Despite everything she experienced as a child she is determined to rise above everything and protect the people that can’t protect themselves.

Background: She is the child of a nine tailed kitsune (Sayuri 小百合) and a very powerful mage with the ability to prolong his life using dark magic (Ichirou 郎). When they first meet Sayuri tried to lure in Ichirou so she could kill him and eat his heart but he fell in love with her. Wise to her tricks he stole her most prize possession, her star ball (a ball which is the source of a kitsune’s power) and turned into to a necklace so he could keep it with him. He then forced her to marry him and become his wife. Though he allowed her to do as she pleased for the most part he kept her star ball so that she would have to come back to him and wouldn’t kill him. Though Sayuri resented Ichirou for this she still respected him a bit for intellect, cleverness and for being able to outwit her. They even managed to have a few children together. Then one day she fell in love with a handsome human man. This man however was already married to a beautiful woman who he was faithful to her and their kids. Filled with envy, jealousy and desire she tricked the man into following her deep into the woods where she trapped and hypnotized him forcing him to marry her. They lived a pleasant peaceful life together for a while, Sayuri playing the part of a perfect loving wife and mother to their many children and the man being unaware that anything was wrong. This was until Ichirou discovered what was going on a devised a plan to make Sayuri suffer. Pretending to be a monster hunter he went to the wife of the man Sayuri had stolen away and told her of what Sayuri was and had done. Then they gathered a group of actual hunters and ventured to the place that Sayuri and her new family lived. When everyone was asleep Ichirou’s group attacked slaughtering everyone in the residence even the other creatures that had come to join in the Sayuri’s charade. When they got to Sayuri and her bewitched lover Ichirou used his magic to break the man from Sayuri’s spell turning him against her and making him forget everything about the time that they had spent together to the point where he didn’t recognize his own children and killed them. Sayuri was heartbroken and horrified but managed to escape mostly unharmed. From that moment on Ichirou watched Sayuri contently making sure she no longer strayed from his side. She complied quietly hating but putting up with his abuse until the day she gave birth to a tiny baby girl. She hated her new child though Ichirou made it clear that he loved it even noting how much it looked like Sayuri. This only offended Sayuri causing her to name the child Akki, though Ichirou lovingly called her Akiko and doted on her constantly. Finally one day Ichirou went on a short trip but mistakenly left behind Sayuri’s star ball. She took this chance to escape with it and his favorite child, Aki. When Ichirou came home he was was devastated and tried to hunt them down calling upon all his children and using all his power but he had grown too old and died before he could ever find them. Yet even after being freed from her marriage Sayuri was still filled with bitterness and resentment towards her ex-husband so she took out her anger on Aki. She would physically and emotional abuse her calling her a monster and a mongrel for her inability to hide her ears and tails as a child and sometimes even refuse to feed her. Despite this abuse deep down Sayuri actually loved Aki but was jealous of Ichirou’s love for her and felt threatened by her presence. She justified her treatment of Aki by saying that it would build her character though Sayuri knew it was wrong eventually she began to believe it. Throughout Aki’s childhood she and her mother travelled continuously throughout Asia and sometimes to other neighboring continents as Sayuri feared that maybe Ichirou or her other children would try to find them. This fear made Sayuri paranoid and she made sure to convince Aki that men were evil and that no one could be trusted. Then when Aki was 9, Sayuri abandoned her in city of Iwanuma in the Miyagi Prefecture of Japan, leaving Aki with her star ball on a necklace but lying to her and telling say that the ball was Aki’s and that if anyone took it from her they could control her. Aki had to learn quick how to survive on the streets by herself but thanks to her mother’s treatment she didn’t have to learn much. Apart of Aki was thankful for her mother abandoning her but she was also very upset. Despite everything her mother was still her mother and Aki felt abandoned by her and utterly alone. During her time alone she fought off other monsters and demons that tried to kill her looking for easy prey and humans that saw her as an easy target. After a year she was discovered by a priest from the Takekoma Inari Shrine, a nearby shrine, named Minoru (実) Oshiro (大城). Taking pity on the poor homeless girl he took her to the shrine. Though she had a hard time trusting the Minoru after everything her mother had taught her he won her over with stories of the Zenko, the good kitsunes that served the kami Inari. The priest and priestess of the shrine took her in and grew to love her calling her “Zenko” due to her fascination with them. Though she loved everyone at the shrine and life there Aki was careful not to let them discover that she was actually part kitsune remembering how other human acted when they found out. While at the shrine she learned much ranging from the school lessons like math and writing to Jujutsu and how to hunt monsters and demons. Over time she grew to accept herself and a desire to fight against the monsters that plagued the world. And after 7 years at the shrine Aki left upon learning of the problems in Hokkaido and deciding to move there despite Minoru’s dislike of the idea. The only way she could convince him to let her go was if she promised to go to the school and get a degree. Through her connects in the shrine she was able to get a small apartment in Sapporo and job working as waitress in a restaurant. Though Minoru and the other priests and priestesses send her a bit of money every month she will only keep it if she needs it but if not will send it back due to her desire to live independently.

Strengths: Since her father was a mage her magical powers are magnified even beyond many full kitsunes. She is very clever, intelligent and quick-witted easily finding ways to outmaneuver her opponent. Because she is only part kitsune she doesn’t have a star ball and since she always keeps her mother’s star ball with her, her powers get a slight boost due to its magical influence.
Weaknesses: Because she only gets each tail every 10 years her magic all of her magical boost only apply to her one ability, fire manipulation as oppose to many other kitsune that are much older than her and have mastered more powers than she ever will. Also she can only use her magic fully when she is in full fox form and can use to a limit when her ears and tail is not hidden. This basically means with her tail and ears out she could make a small fire but she couldn’t shoot a fire ball or put out the flames of a building that’s caught on fire. She knows very little about her past besides what her mother told her which is and she believes to be mostly lies. Her mother is a very delicate subject for her and can lead to either tears or rage, sometimes even both. She has issues trusting others. And when she does start to trust them she has a hard time showing affection.
Fears/Insecurities: She has a natural fear of dogs like most kitsunes but it only is toward very small dogs and large aggressive wild dogs. She also has a fear of being alone. She has some issues trusting people and commitment even after her time at the shrine. Though her issues with commitment mean less that she would cheat on someone she was in a relationship with (especially when she hates betrayal) and more that even if it was obvious to everyone including her that she was in a relationship with someone it would take a long time before she said anything verbally.
Likes: She likes history, folklore, chess, puzzles and riddles. She also likes listening to the sounds of the ocean or of a river.
Dislikes: She dislikes being forced into things and would rather go at her own pace. She dislikes feeling bored and unchallenged and if she ever finds herself in such a situation she likes to try to think up complex puzzles to solve or play games of chess with herself. She especially hates when people underestimate or betray her in anyway.

What they are looking for in a boy/girlfriend: Someone that can see past her façade or is unaffected by it and can accept her and let her be who she is. She needs someone who can understand her slight tsundere (she’s more of a kuudere actually) attitude and that the small sweet gestures and displays of affection are her way showing she cares.

What they are not looking for in a boy/girlfriend: Someone who expects her to be lovey-dovey and be very open. Someone who can’t see past her façade and can’t understand her when tries to do show she cares.

Describe your character in three words: secretly subdued seductress

If your character were stranded on an island and could only bring two things with them, what would they be?: She’d want a knife and injury kit so she can protect herself and fight off whatever the island throws at her.

If your character could change anything about themselves, what would they change?: While she doesn’t like to dwell on the pasts she would change the like to have been born human or to at least have been Minoru’s actual biological daughter.

Your character opens their fridge; what do they see?: She’ll probably find some plastic bottles of water and juice and a bunch of packaged easy to make foods and take out because she can’t really cook.
