The Streets of Tokyo.

2 young men were walking down the street, both dressed smartly in a school uniform.  that was the only thing that was visually similar between them. the one to the right was a foreigner, though his voice had a Japanese accent. the one next to him was dark haired and clearly of Japanese heritage. as they were walking down the street, they chatted back and forth, casually dropping from Irish to Japanese to English throughout the conversation.

As they waited to cross a street, a punk walking the other way muttered in Japanese
"Gay Fags."

Jack tensed, balling his hand into a fist, only for his brother to tap his shoulder, speaking softly in English "patience Deartháir their ignorance is not worth it."

Jack looked at his Deartháir, his step-brother Hiru.
"I know Deartháir, but I still wish they would relax. we're stepbrothers, not céile. I refuse to be insulted for being near you."
"and you think violence will cure that? Troid is a last resort, not the first." pushing his brother forwards, Hiru continued.
"besides, if they wish to aggravate me, they'll need to do better."
soon they reached the college, a block away from the local high school. walking up the steps the parted at the first floor, Hiru to his first class, and Jack towards the office.

after talking to the administrators in the the college office, confirming that the classes he chose were open and the paperwork from Ireland had been transferred successfully, he checked his schedule. he had missed his first period, and right now it seemed he was to be a TA at the local high school.
he checked his watch and muttered a curse, he was going to be late for it in a moment.
Damn it.
thankfully, the high school started after the college did, so he shouldn't be too late.
Getting a note form the office, stating his absence was excuses, he hurried, the long package across his back and his bag cinched tightly as he began to move towards the high school.
the block separating the schools was a urban park, filled with some tree's, and a local skate park, as well as several smaller stores. grinning, he cut across it, vaulting the short walls that line the pathways in smooth motions. his tie came a bit loose, so that when he arrived at the high school. with 2 minutes to find the class which was on the first floor, he darted In, signing the log book for the aids quickly and began to run up the hall, his foot steps silenced by the soft leather soles of his boots.
he arrived 3 minutes late, just as he heard a girl in the class introduce herself.....
